English Lang, creative writing? Or an essay subject like history? - maybe something you have a special interest in that you could specialise in later

Sociology would be good, if you want to go in to journalism, you'll learn about society and the media.
    Saying that, what about Media?

Yeah, media seems like a good option,Ii do it at GCSE but I'm not sure how hard it would be at A Level?

I don't do it myself, I do Sociology, English Literature and Psychology, but I have friends who really enjoy Media. A lot of their assessments are on like projects and stuff, they create short films and adverts and stuff, so it's not too exam heavy

I take Media A-level, having never taken it at GCSE, and it's perfectly manageable. The coursework can be quite intense, but that's only a month or two of the year. And the exam itself depends on the exam board, but for me (WJEC), the AS exam was composed of an essay on textual analysis, a couple of short audience questions, and an essay on representation. It's not all that difficult to get a respectable mark in. The most challenging thing about it is probably the fact you have to sit there for two and a half hours actually doing the paper.
