Let me start by saying I don't leave in UK and things work differently around here but I studied in the British curriculum and have completed A-Levels(grades are ok).I intend to join university to study Electrical and Electronic engineering(the Bachelors degree course is 5 years here),then join my dad's solar business and expand it with my knowledge
My cousin is an electrical engineer and has been working for the last three years.Right now he is working on a very big project and he's basically the chief electrical engineer. He came to me with an idea, that I join him on this project for a minimal wage which will be completed in the next two years and than join university to get my degree. He said that its unlikely he will be able to get such an opportunity for me again as he's good friends with his boss right now.
However,he leaves in a different city and I'd have to move there, also I won't be studying for those two years.Experience-wise I'll have gained a lot but on paper its like I wasted two years of my life and I don't think I'll have the motivation to go to uni after two years. If I join then I'll be 27-28 when I get my degree.
I have been spending so many nights awake trying to make a decision.
