If Labour win... I'll eat a hat. UKIP won't be around next election: Farage will have left and Cameron can say "I told you so!" that a vote for UKIP was a vote for Labour. The olds will revert to Conservative.

well if the result of an election doesn't count, why should we treat a referendum as authoritative?

Sorry, are you arguing that we should ignore an election result but have a referendum anyway, or are you arguing that all elections are pointless and we should be a dictatorship?

everybody in the world who is sober and has an intelligence above 2 iq knows conservatives are a mile better than labour. the only reason ppl vote labour is because they're old and finally came out of their rocks and realised its poll day and went back to vote labour since its a tradition for them

that and they simply dont like the liars and psychos in tories (labour are worse but they advertise as being nicer)

God forbid if Labour becomes elected...
Overspending leading to an even higher structural deficit, rise in unemployment, the welfare budget being doubled, nationalisation of utilities so there is no competition and the unions walking all over the taxpayer, CERTAIN increased taxation, both income tax and corporation tax, making the UK uninvestable yet again...

Labour are an economic disaster for this country, it will be like history repeating itself.

If Labour win the upcoming 2015 General Election, it will result in the books being balanced as soon as possible in the course of the next parliament. It will mean extra funding directed towards the NHS, a government that actually cares about working people, and hopefully a reduction in the amount of people facing the cost of living crisis.

Labour have made clear that if the EU take any more powers from our parliament, then they will hold a referendum. I believe this is the best option. Most people don't understand the EU, and often opinions are based on falsehoods made by UKIP and other groups. We have nothing to lose by using this method, we have everything to lose if a referendum is held during the next parliament.

If the Tories win deflation will carry on ticking past 0.5% and onto -1.0%. Most people think deflation is good but it depends who for.

Deflation is good for those who get their incomes from outside of the countries liquidity zone. For example a company exporting products to foreign countries and getting paid in foreign currency.

Deflation may be seen as good for consumers at first glance but it causes businesses a lot of problems because they are unable to make profits and go out of business since their end product decreases in price every year.

The US chose to tackle its deflation problem with mass amounts of Quantitative Easing. The trouble is that all this new printed money went into Wall Street and made rich people richer who eventually just put this money in offshore bank accounts.

The danger right now is that the EU is doing exactly the same as the USA. The UK is also following the USA stupid example.

What should be happening is this QE money should be put into council housing, nuclear power stations, renewable clean energy, transportation development for nationalised railways and childcare infrastructure. At least by doing these things the money is used for the benefit of society and not for the benefit of stock market speculation.

Our country is getting milked by the Tories & Labour. We need people with real financial literacy. I dare say the Greens are on the right track.

Thing is most of you are taught absolute rubbish. Oxbridge and LSE degrees aren't worth the paper they are printed on any more because all they spit out are corporate stooges who want to defend a corrupt crony capitalist system that benefits the top 10%. Their moto is make the poor poorer and deprive them of their minor luxuries/freedoms so we rich people can go jet sking in a lake full of cream.

There are going to be riots soon and the UK will end up like Greece. The Tories are going about things the wrong way. We need proper investment in Britain and we need to satisfy our most basic needs first like shelter, food & energy and then transport.

I believe Clement Attlee did, but I'm unsure other than that without researching it.

The aim of socialism is not to help the poor become less poor, but to ensure that the rich become less rich - you anarcho-socialists are incredibly jealous of people who have mainly worked hard to have a comparatively higher income.
