Given that it's already been disestablished, how? If anything surely you'd be an establishmentarianist?

    Nah, you're confused.

As an antidisestablishmentarianist I have prejudice towards antidisetablishmentarians who are against the disestablishmentarian movement aimed towards an established establishment who are thus opposed to the disestablishment of an establishment.

Perhaps I waffled too much in my first reply. An antidisestablishmentarianist is an individual with prejudice towards antidisestablishmentarians. That's better.

Why/how? Since when does replacing -an with -ist does the meaning of a word change to reflect a prejudice against said group?

If you look very closely, you will find that the word 'antidisestablishmentarianist' does not replace 'an' with 'ist', but adds the 'ist' suffix onto 'an'.

-ist means you're opposed to something? What about the suffragists?

According to the dictionary, -ist is a "Suffix appended to words, usually denoting a follower or a profession".

And according to my superior intellectualism as an antidisestablishementarianist, you're wrong.
