My door seems to have swollen in the cold weather (I would have thought this was more likely in summer?) and now I can't shut the front door when I leave the house. Our landlord already tried sanding it down but it has gotten even worse... advice anyone?

It's the damp that makes the wood swell. He needs to sand it down again or replace it with a UPVC one that won't get stuck.

Yes I 'saw' that response; the answer hinges on it.
