Looking at that other thread about the morbidly obese woman, I noticed a fair few women trying to claim it is not a bad thing to be that size. However no male poster felt the same way either about the woman, or the morbidly obese men that got posted later in the thread. The same gender imbalance is notable in the fat acceptance movement as well.
Do you agree that this difference in views exists? If so - why do you think men are much more strongly opposed to both male and female obesity? It seems particularly odd given that women (claim that they) have much more pressure from society re: appearance.
