Can you please clarify for me the situation regarding income declarations when supporting student, specifically regarding pension payments.

Is a pension lump sum payment counted as income? One one thread it said only taxable income was to be included and if a lump sum was tax free then it would not need declaring. Another post I read all income, taxable or not had to be declared including any tax free lump sum payments.

    Which is correct?
    Thank you
    .
