I work at KFC, we get paid fortnightly. 2 and a half weeks ago I didn't get paid but worked over 30 hours. So after countless phone calls they said they had added my pay to the next payroll. So I waited until yesterday when I got paid. However I only got paid the amount for working the ladt 2 weeks while I was waiting to get paid. Nothing from the 30 hours I initially didn't get paid for.
I've rang up today and they just don't seem to be taking it as seriously as I'd like "I'm in a meeting, I'll ring back" when the previous two times my manager said that, she failed to ring back in the time she set. Not to mention I didn't get a pay slip.
Should I go to citizens advice instead?

Is there someone higher up, to whom the (I presume location) manager is accountable? If I were you, I would ring them/email them and see what they can do, and tell them about the times that the manager of your store has failed to respond or reply in a timely manner.
Not only might this solve the payroll problem, but it also might solve the problem of blatant incompetency.
If necessary, scan payslips and rota(s) as proof as to the missing money.
