2 tampons

okay sorry about the ickyness of this, but just need to check...
last night I got very drunk and when I went to change my tampon before bed I must have not taken out the old one and I woke up this morning with 2 in.
Just wanted to make sure that this isn't going to kill me or anything. I feel quite stupid!
If you've taken them both out now then probably not - though personally i'd use towels instead for a few days.

Read the instruction leaflet and it'll probably mention the symptoms of "toxic schock syndrome"? = bear them in mind.

The risks associated with keeping a tampon in too long are quite low fortunately. Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) can occur but it would usually take more than a few hours to cause that and its such a small minority of people that it happens to. If it looks like all the fibres are intact and none of it has been left inside you then you should be fine.
Don't worry hun. Sometimes my period is so heavy I use 2 at the same time anyway, to save me changing them [literally] every quarter of an hour or so.

I've done it for a few years, when my period is heavy. I'm perfectly fine

Is that healthy? Why not just use a more absorbent one?
Super plus :frown: And maybe it's not exactly the best solution to my problem but short of taking 2 days off work every month to stay at home and bleed to death theres not much else for it.

(Would not advise anyone to do this, by the way).

Poor you! :frown:
Have you tried the pill if you arent already on it? Made my periods much lighter.
I'm taking femodine, but heavy periods run in my family.. My mum and sisters all have really heavy ones like I do.

The joys of womanhood, eh?

It happened to me once too, same reasons as you (not completely pished, but quite drunk :p:). I got a bit worried, but it was last August and I'm still alive, and nothing's wrong there.
