I'm a Boy currently in year 11 and I've chosen do Psychology for A level. But I've found out that the overwhelming majority who are doing psychology are female. So is it a female dominant subject? Is there any boys who have done or is currently doing Psychology?

there are more boys doing psychology than girls at my sixth form. I'd say the split is about 60/40

There's 2 boys in my class of 14 and my boyfriend is the only boy in his A2 psychology class.

From what I can remember, more boys took it in year 12 than they currently do in year 13.

I wouldn't let it affect you if you're worrying about being one of the only boys, it's an interesting subject regardless

Psychology is very mixed at my school. I take it currently for AS, and can say that although there is still more girls than boys, the number of boys taking it is the highest seen ever.

It is so interesting to learn about, and would encourage it on all levels. If your interested in it, go for it Feel free to ask any questions about the course (AQA A by the way)

I don't think either gender dominates Psychology. In my class at the moment, there are 4 boys (Orignally 5 but one left the 6th form) and 7 girls, and I know there are more in the other two Psychology class. I've seen the A2 class as well and that seems to be very equally split.
