I know before I even start typing this that it's going to sound stupid, but what would you guys say are signs that someone is actively flirting with you moreso than "just" being nice/friendly etc? tbh I've always had a bit of trouble realising someone is flirting with me up till the point where they get a bit more obvious/upfront about it or actually make a clear move, I think it's probably because I don't want to assume they are just in case they aren't

And since I am kinda asking for a reason, examples of workplace flirting would be most appreciated, although school/college/general life/whatever are fine too.

(Also if anyone else has ever had this problem it'd be great to hear I'm not alone looool)

Bombard them on whatsapp, check their reactions. Mostly works

Try to send them a few 'obviously flirty comments'/jokes during the time one would be about to go to bed, if they reply, go to stage 2, do it when they're supposed to be @ work. If the 'reply rate' is above 75%, then wait for a week before proposing a date. Don't delay the date though, if you hold on your confusion for a few months, then you will find that there is virtually 0 chemistry.
