    Me.

I live in North West England.
    23 years old
    held license for 4 years
    3 years no claims discount
    . I drive a 2000 1.6 astra

My car insurance is £38 per month, does this appear a bit steep to any of you or should I just accept this offer?

I'd say you've got yourself a solid deal. I'm 26, 4 years no claims, have a 1.6 litre Proton Satria Neo, and pay roughly the same amount.

Best way to establish how good a deal you've got is to get a few quotes elsewhere. If someone offers you a better deal... then take it.

Its hard to say how much you should be paying and how much is a good price. Insurance varies wildly, and theres no hard and fast rule on how much you should be paying. Look around at other companies to see what prices they come out with. Renewal prices are rarely the best prices as most companies give better prices to new customers.

Go to a comparison site. Enter details. Take the cheapest quote to your current insurer and say 'can you beat this'. If so, stay, if not, leave.
