I am doing OCR B Chemistry GCSE and my corsework is based around sulfuric acid production.
I am really struggeling to find websites which answer the following questions:
    1. Amount of sulfuric acid produced in UK per year?
    2. Range of temperatures that are used by different sulfuric acid manufactorers
    3. Numberical data showing how changing temp in contact process affects yield of sulfer trioxide?

    any help would be appreciated!!

This article states over 1 million tonnes

    http://www.thechemicalblog.co.uk/com...ulphuric-acid/

This article says 1.21 million tonnes in 1997

The first article was published in 2012 so it'll still be around the 1 million tonnes mark.

This article talks about the privation of sulphuric acid during 'the contact process'.

It talks about the production of sulfuric acid, the conversion of sulphur dioxide into sulphur trioxide, and how sulphur trioxide is converted into concentrated sulphuric acid.

The article also talks about the temperatures used in the reaction.
