I was just told today that I have to take part in the Linguistics Olympiad next Thursday. I know zilch about it so just found a past paper and it looks terrifyingly difficult!
Does anyone have any experience / tips / methods???

Personally I've never done it, or probably ever will (although I am doing maths which I'm looking forward to) but what I do know about these olympiads in general is not to worry about them because they really don't matter. I wouldn't recommend revising or reading past papers or anything like that and just go in on the day and have fun! Hopefully..

    Good luck

Hi I've just done it today! It is hard, what I can say is pay attention to the details and try to find patterns. That's really what it's all about. Good luck!
