i was thinking about an incident i had about 7 years ago after making the other thread just now.

i was about 13 and i was walking through a dodgy area where i live. a guy my age at the time noticed me staring at him (i was, dk why) and he swore and threatened me. i said sorry repeatedly and went red. i then ran away. he threatened me everytime he saw me after this until about 2012.

what do you think i should have done all them years ago? i need to know, i feel like this could've been avoided.

Your biggest mistake is thinking about a minor incident that took place 7 years ago. SEVEN YEARS AGO. If that doesn't sound completely irrational then I don't know what does.

But for hindsight, the best thing to do would've been to completely ignore him. I wouldn't have even said sorry, I'd have looked at him, not even acknowledged the threat and continued walking. People who want to get angry with somebody hate it when you totally blank their barking.
