Do you think it would help encourage more students to exercise if there wasn't such a competitive element?

Do you get put off P.E lessons?

P.E. should be more competitive. That's how sport - and life - is in the real world.

At school I hated p.e. because i was super skinny and crap at basically all of it.
When I started to exercise for myself, to get fitter, i had way more motivation because i set goals.
P.E. should be competitive, it's important to understand team work and that life can be pretty unfair if you're not blessed with certain attributes. On the other hand it should also try and focus on getting kids to actually try and achieve something (say try and do 30 pushups in a minute by the end of the year) because then sports actually feels like it has a purpose rather then just being horrible punishment (as 14 y.o. me thought)
