Where are you located? lol

Reply 2

find a pro, you cant just ask random people

Reply 3

Haha, I've actually always wanted someone to ask me to pose for them in a life drawing. I'd be flattered and do it. Would be ace.

Lol Princess - Cardiff, but this is going down the lines of 'hey, how you doing?' lol

I have actually asked one girl and she's given me her no. but it felt so weird that I thought I'd ask other peoples opinions before doing it again!!!

ask a friend/sister/mum

lol are you joking?

i'd be flattered but i wouldn't agree to do it. i think most girls would be flattered more than creeped out to be honest. depending on how you asked ofc.

Reply 10

I think I would be flattered but also a bit creeped out.....hmmmm

Reply 11

There are professionals that you can get to pose for you for reasonably low cost. Ask your art teacher I am sure they will be able to put you in touch with someone.

Reply 12

defeats the object as far as I'm concerned random.

I have to be passionate about who or what I paint, hence asking someone that you want to paint as oppose to someone that you may not be that arsed about.

When you're asking them, show samples of your work so they know that you're genuine.

He's looking for a female muse, not a naked one

Ur right, but the girl that has agreed at the mo is for a face shot as she is stunning. The way I want to play it is just do what the girl is comfortable with. Body is beautiful, but not a lot of point capturing someone who is shy or uncomfortable with the situation

^ oh ok. i always assume life models are naked.

right, well, in THAT case, i'd be flattered and would most probably do it. i don't see why any girl would be majorly creeped out to the point where she'd run away and not do it. overreaction.

perhaps you should approach them professionally; "hi, i'm currently doing blahlah and part of my work involves blahalh and finding a female lbhahaj etc, and you're the kind of thing/whatever i'm looking for, for my work. would you mind etc etc"

Reply 17

Why don't you ask a friend or someone on your course so they know a bit about what your doing. I think you probably have to know the person before you approach them. I can't think why if you knew the person they wouldn't be flattered even if they said no. I have done it for an ex boyfriends photography project and I made it clear what I was comfortable doing (so a lot of my lecturers have seen me topless as the photos were exhibited). As long as you ask in the right way I can't see why anyone would be uncomfortable.

I would choose A. LOL

Maybe clarify that its not nude, coz I think many people assume that life drawing is always naked. I have been asked and I was very flattered and did it.
