Ah, yeah I just wrote down the values for F and r at A and B. Then I wrote down the equation and showed the relationship between the two.

Then for the second part I used the equation and the radius they gave as the maximum separation. You have to multiply the charge into number of protons for each, to get the correct answer.

perfect :h::h: thanks

how much will you expect to get an A for this paper? Some where around 65-70?

I think so, yeah. Tbh, I think even 65 is too much to hope for haha.
the paper was easy arggg im going to lose marks for stupid mistakes

Spoiler

What was the answer to find the change in kinetic energy of the electron as is passes through the linac?

Also, how do you find the average current in the 2nd question of section b?

And the last multiple choice question with the particle decay. Was it D?

Overall, it was an easy paper. These ^ are my only worries.

Not sure if these are right but:
1. Voltage x charge x 3
2. Charge x frequency
3. Total energy is the same

I have doubts about those too

In the emf question, what was the answer to the third part?
The one with long cable and small batteries?

It will charge when over the cables and discharge inbetween, I think.

To find average current do you have to divide charge by 2? For discharging

Yeah I wrote something similar too....
Anyone GCE? Thought it was such a good paper!

Yes good calculation and explanation but not on last question about bubble chamber cos I forgot everything about it ugh
Crazy good paper couldnt have asked for a better one tbh watch me make so many silly mistakes hahah

On the gce paper were we supposed to use 3.3 or 6.6 for the charge on the capacitor??
I hate my life, that paper was crazy :'(
where was the easy 6 marks for alpha particle scattering... edexcel, why are you so evil?
(edited 8 years ago)
holllyyy **** that was a really easy paper.. expecting a high grade boundary for A, like a 56-55? thank you edexcel gods
Can someone plz write post an unofficial mark scheme
