Yeah so when I leave Uni I'm wanting to go down a more creative writing style route ie. like novel writing, scriptwriting, film adaptations, writing for tv etc so I was hoping I would be able to do something like that for my dissertation instead of a classical essay as it would obviously be more beneficial to me experience-wise for when I leave. I was just wondering if anyone knows whether this is an option?

obviously will go and ask my teacher too Im just eager to know right this moment :P when i get something in my head i have to have the answer!

You mean a traditional essay. It will depend on what uni. My uni is flexible and the dissertation says you can either do a creative piece or a traditional essay. However it's called the "Long Essay" which includes English Language, English Literature and Creative Writing students. But I highly doubt you will be able to do a creative piece as a dissertation unless you are doing Creative Writing as a degree.
