    Hi there

I have just found that i have got passed the AC at a top twenty mid-size firm and now have a partner interview next Friday.

I just wondered if anybody had any good tips. Looking around on the internet, it seems there are two different types of partner interview - the interrogation or the laid, back friendly chat. I'm looking forward to the interview either way, but i am a bit concerned about commercial awareness questions. Anybody know of anything in the news at the moment that might threaten a mid-size, top 20 firm? I believe this is a common question type.

That's my main concern, but, if anybody has had such an interview in the past and got an usual question, and would be so kind to contribute it, i would be very grateful. Cheers

Learning about their competitors/how the current economic climate affects the firm is important, might come up. Otherwise, just be confident and make sure you really learn about their core values and show the key competencies they look for. Had a similar interview with a top 20 firm.

Cheers for the reply. Yeah that's a good idea. Did you get the job? Also, was it is a fairly relaxed affair and can you remember any more questions. Last, but not least... it wasn't Kingston Smith was it? (Correction to my thread - that should read "an unusual question" - of course).
