I'm writing a piece of creative writing based on Gatsby's death by the hands of Wilson for my English Lit/Lang course, and was trying to record as much detail about Wilson's motives as possible.

That's all fine and all, but the last detail I needed was how Wilson got the gun. Did he just have it to begin with, or did he find it somewhere? And if possible, could you give me a page number/quotation that supports this?

    Thanks a lot!

I might be wrong but was there any reference to the gun when the man (Wilson's neighbour) was consoling him?

The coffee shop owner, Michaelis? I'll take a look at that passage, thanks!
