So I've got 3 very unexpected assessment centre invites (thought i crapped out after online tests) for 3 Top 100 engineering companies, the dates are Feb 2nd 19th and 26th. I really like all 3 companies and I'm chuffed to have 3 shots at getting a good placement but my question is lets say my first assessment goes well and they make me an offer before my next assessment, do I have to make a decision there and then whether to decline and hopefully gain a better offer from the later two employers or will they give me a reasonable deadline to reply that will enable me to gather up more than one offer. Obviously I'm being fairly forward asking this but its been stuck on my mind and my placement advisor hasn't replied to my email and I'd like to know before i get started. I'd really appreciate some more opinion on this.

    Hey MechEngGuy,

I'm in the same position although my assessment centres/final face to face interviews were very close together (2,3,4 February) I basically received an offer from one the day after my interview. Honestly most companies aren't that lenient with decision time. I personally got 4 days to decided. My placement adviser told me to accept the offer, but be aware that the construction of the contact can take over a week. So if I were to receive an offer from a company I preferred more then as long as I haven't signed the contact I was well within my right to change my mind.

Hope that helped and good luck with the centres !!
Where have you applied btw?, I ask because I'm studying ChemEng so we may have applied to some of the same companies
