# Vector Q Watch

1. Why can the direction vector not be (008)? Because the equation is parallel to the z axis, and the it passes through the point with a z coordinate 8, AND there is no inclination of the line, surely (008) should be right? Or is (001) a simplified version?

(0,0,1) is just a bit "simpler", or more basic, but (0,0,8) would also be valid as a direction vector, as would (0,0,pi), etc.
3. Thanks
