It purely depends which you are best at. I am currently doing Statistics 1 and 2 (in AS Further Maths) and I think that it is pretty easy, personally. I am doing Mechanics next year and I have looked into the unit thoroughly. It is basically AS physics.

In summary, do Mechanics if you are good at Physics and if you have done AS Physics, then it will be very easy or do Stats if you enjoy topics like probability because that is all it really is!!

    Hope this helps!

i do mechanics but my friends say that stats is so much easier, our school did gcse stats and apparently it overlaps a lot. mechanics really helps if youre doing as physics along side it, the forces part of physics overlaps a lot with mechanics. personally i like mechanics better, i can't stand stats and mecahnics is more rewarding. But choose whatever youre best at

I find mechanics easier/more interesting than statistics, but it completely depends on the person.

I'd say mechanics purely since I found it more fun/ interesting than statistics.

Like most people have already said, it really depends on you. I'm really not a fan of physics, so I preferred statistics (it was hideously dull, I was good at it). I've been told universities generally prefer mechanics since it's viewed as the more challenging of the two, but it also depends what you're applying to.

    M1 > S1 but I'd say S2 > M1

I love mechanics and all of the problems associated with it, if anything it is probably my fav maths module, but that's all because of my love for physics. However in terms of what is easier and not interesting, definitely statistics.
