Im trying to connect my ps2 to the cable modem via ethernet cable and whenever the ps2 is detecting network settings, it just comes up with this message, "network cable not connected"...

Why is this happening?

I mean the ethernet light is clearly flashing on the ntl modem so really it should be working?

I've resetted the modem several times and I've tried different cables but still its not working.

If anyone can come up with a solution to my problem then I would be very grateful.

Thanks
