I'm in year 9 and I'm going to have finished my GCSE French course by the end of this year since my school specialises in it. I'm pretty sure I want to do another language course in year 10 and 11, as French has been quite enjoyable and actually fairly easy. My options are GCSE German, Spanish and possibly Italian, or I could even continue French at AS level. So basically I'd just like to know what you all think is the best choice out of those? Will something like Italian make me stand out more, or is it best to choose Spanish since it's arguably more useful? Also, this is only my second post here, hi everyone, and thanks for the help

Germany has a good economy compared to spanish speaking countries.....i chose spanish anyway

Spanish is spoken by more people than German and Italian combined

Spanish spoken by more people and is a romance language I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), so should have similarities to French.

German could help you because then you know both a romance + a germanic language, but it's not as widely spoken.

Italian might make you stand out a bit more I guess, because less people take it.

It's ultimately your decision really, knowing even 2 languages (let alone three) is very useful
