Self harm? watch

I wouldn't call myself depressed, but I definitely get really low moments, thanks to school (and also family, but school is the main issue). I have self harmed before, when I felt extremely horrible, but I never got addicted to it like many others say they have.

Is it normal for me to want to self harm sometimes (like once a month at most) for what seems like no reason?

no, it isn't. There's always going to be the thought 'oh but other people have it worse' when you're confronting this sort of problem but it's not normal or ok, and even though you may be feeling relatively ok at the time of self harm perhaps it's a built up reaction from your low mood. I'd seek help from any guidance person you can get through your school or your gp. Talk to somebody- you aren't alone.
