The Battle of Kobane is now over. This Guardian article has a video showing what the city centre is now like. Kobane was ISIS' Stalingrad, unfortunately in their wake these barbarians have destroyed a once-flourishing Kurdish city.

Just on the figure of 6,000 fighters dead, that is how many ISIS fighters have been killed in the American airstrikes overall, rather than just in Kobane. But it is a substantial number.

Another interesting report is that ISIS has executed 200 foreign fighters (the European Muslims who went to fight for them) when these fighters tried to leave to go back home. I am absolutely opposed to such violence, but I can't say I feel that bad. They made their choice, these idiotic bullies travelled out there thinking they would have an easy time murdering religious minorities. They are now dead because of their childish misunderstanding that it wasn't a game.
