I'm in 10th grade and I'm thinking about my university course choice.
I first thought of Tourism but doesn't Geography have more career options? And after all what are the big differences between Geog, Trav and Tourism?

I think Geography degrees are traditionally more "respected" than Travel & Tourism, which some people might regard as a "soft subject" (which isn't a very fair term but that's the society we live in). Geography is a broader and more traditional subject and I'd have thought that your career prospects would be better.

Geography has way more career options! Because it has way more options in general –– R&D modules and Stats, human and physical choices. There's the research side, the report side, the essay writing side. And it's seen as more of a 'hard' as opposed to 'soft' subject. Like I know a geography graduate who's first job was with Nickelodeon, getting research and interviewing kids. Now she works for MTV.
