Dream

I haven't been in a relationship for over a year now, and I sometimes I do miss being with someone. A couple of days ago, I had a dream of a guy that is in some of my classes. It was strange. He said he liked me (in the dream)- and ever since then, I have been thinking about it. I know I haven't got any feelings for him- well atleast I think i don't. He has been joking around with me quite a bit lately- teasing me. At one point he was trying to prevent me from moving so he kept blocking me but was standing really close to me. I had my hands just on my trousers and it was literally touching him- that's how close he was standing. You are probably wondering why i'm posting this- simply to get rid of some stress! But the point it- why am I thinking about the dream, in reality it should mean nothing to me..

dreams normaly relate to something that you have seen, like on television or something that your friends have said, or atleast thats what my friends tell me. Maybe deep down you have feelings for him but you just havnt found them yet. My siggestion would be not to worry about ( easier said than done i know) but try to get on with your life and hopefully everything will work out and you will understand it better.
I hope this helps

Thanks! Lol that was one thing I was scared about hearing..'Maybe deep down you have feelings for him...' I have a fear of getting my heart broken, so before anything starts I try to back away. And sometimes I just can't back away.

I have tose dreams all the time.
I just obsess about the person untill the next one...
Probably best not to act on it.
They may be all over you in your dream.
They might not like it in real life.
Plus they always look better in your dream...

I once read that dreams show what you actually want or desire... so I think it might be the case that you are about to fall in love with him.. but don't worry it might just be some scientific lie

the dream could just be an indication of the fact that you miss having a partner, and he could have just represented someone that you feel comfortable around. it doesn't necessarily mean you want to be with him, but maybe you feel at ease with him, something you may want in a relationship.

Yes, in my opinion the dream doesn't mean anything. It's just I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since:redface:

You want to sex him up. I called it.

I'm afraid I don't, no.

There are lots of different theories about dreaming, from the perspective that they are random firings from the brain to Freud's psychoanalytical theory to the view that they help us to deal with problems in waking life.

I'd be most inclined to think that the dream represents your feelings about not being in a relationship. If the male figure in the dream had been someone you didn't recognise then you wouldn't be obsessing so much. It's the fact that it's someone you know that's making you think more about the dream.

It sounds like you're taking completely normal events and trying to interpret them in a way that shows he likes you as a result of having the dream.

If I were you, I'd accept that the dream happened and that it might mean various different things but remember that it's not something that's even worth obsessing over.

You could write him this:
I was thinking of us last night
And the times we shared
How good we were
But now we are apart
Yet we still have our
Dreams
For in our Dreams we are together
Holding hands on the beach
Talking all night under the silver moon
Kissing and holding each other tight
Dreams
For no matter the distance
Or the obstacle I will always belong to you
For we are meant for each other
not only in reality, but also in our
Dreams

Yeh i agree with what you said. Thanks for the poem Madémoisélle Charlotté- but i don't think i'll be giving it to him! I'm so gonna hate myself for starting this thread tomo!

I once had one about someone, woke up and actually said out loud 'What the ****?' Looked at him differently for a couple of days, just to see, and then thought - oh come on- it's [whoever].. don't be stupid.

Conversely, I once had one and it's changed my life. So....

I don't think this will change my life. But the only reason I'm more caught up on the dream then i should, is because two little things that happened before the dream with me and him! I didn't mention it because i did not want to mention wat them two little things were. Even tho they were two little 'things', it was all unexpected and i just wanted to release myself for a bit and give myself some space to consider other things thats why i started this thread!

Hey,
The only thing you can do is to ignore what every1 has said and to do what you feel is right, if you want to stay away and not say anything then do that, but if you want to be more friendly then approach him. At the end of the day you dont want to be unhappy and uncomfortable. so just sit down and think what you want to do! let me know how you get on!!!!

I know definetly after today I only want to be normal with him! Thanks for your help!
