How to work out RPI ????? Watch

Oh dear how could someone with a B at A level not know this but seriously I was only taught how it is done for the CPI becuase both of them won't be included on the same paper for edexcel according to my former tutor. But can someone tell me precisely how it is done? Thanks

In general, the two terms are used interchangably.

If you want to be picky, I thikn RPI and CPI uses different baskets of goods to compare price changes. I remember that for example coucil tax is included in RPI, but not in the CPI. Don't know the exact components of each index though, maybe you could try googling it?

CPI does not include housing costs, whereas RPI does.
