Entrance tests for computer animation at bournemouth??

sorry if this is the wrong board i didnt realy know where to post this
basically ive applied to bournemouth university(only there, nowhere else) to do computer visualisation and animation and in the prospectus it says before you get an offer you have to go for an interview and do a life drawing test a maths test and a logic test. i was just wondering if anyone has done these tests or knows anyone who has who can give me an idea of what to expect? maybe?
thanks

hi ive applied to the same course... and ive spoken to some of the graduates/current students at bournemouth and they said..

the maths test is nothing harder than GCSE's standard... if your not doing maths alevel then they recommend you just look over some stuff.. (you need to get 70% to pass)

the life drawing test is a half hour test of drawing a nude model.. i think they said it was quick minute drawings of the model walking or something like that..

and the logic test is alike a murder mystery... (eg) if all A's are B's, and all C's are D's, then can all B's be C's ? :s-smilie: something wierd like that...

hope that helps..

oh thanks for that, i did email the uni to see what they said about them and they said this:

"The maths test is a multiple choice paper and is non calculator. The test explores your knowledge in a variety of mathematical concepts.

The logic test is general logical thinking, short paragraphs and then true or false questions.

The life drawing test consists of a model and they do various short poses, you do not need to bring any materials for the tests , we provide you with paper, pencils."

at least the maths test is multiple choice! that should be fine im more worried about the interview than the tests, any idea what questions they ask?

thanks

hmm on a different universities forum (herfordshire), i was speakin to the people who couldnt get into bournemouth and they said that they asked them questions like...

What ideas have you got for your own animations?
Whats your favourite film, (animation or not animation)?
Where do you see yourself after you've finished the course?
What makes you think that bournemouth is the right place for you?
Why do you want to get into animation?

the questions are along those lines ^... hope it helps
