Obviously Warwick recieves a large number of applicants per place, but I was wondering if they had statistics on the number of offers made in total anywhere? (ie the course I am interested in has roughly 1600 applicants for roughly 100 places, but off those 1600 how many recieved offers).
I've tried e-mailing them, but to be honest the replies I got back from them weren't the most helpful! Any help would be very much appreciated.
Well ive applied for history and I rang the admissions dude up. For history atleast; 1500 applicants : 100 places and they give out 500 offers. So as a general rule multiply the no. of places by 4,5 or 6 to get a general idea of the no. of offers.
I should imagine the number of offers they can make each year changes...
For example, if a department at another University opens/closes it likely to affect the number of people accepting/decling their offer. So I would very much doubt that any University has a fixed number of offers to make evry year - much more likely that they constantly refine the number.
