LSE or NYU

Hi. Can anyone of you give me advice on whether I should go to LSE (Accounting & Finance) or NYU Stern (Business School)? How easy is it for LSE undergraduate to find summer internships or full time job after graduation? I know Stern's reputation in USA is quite good, but obviously, LSE's reputation is great too.
Anyways, any help is appreciated. Thx

To be honest - Stern would be preferable - I know for instance that the former head of GS went there.... VERY good school ... but in the end I dont think you can go wrong with either

Stern simply isn't as well known as LSE...so brand value is lower...They do a joint MBA with HEC Paris funnily enough called Trium..

Yes I know ... with placements in Shanghai and Sao Paolo I think? But I think you underestimate the band value of Stern - it is VERY well thought of in the US...

But like I said - they are both very hard to pick between ...

i think in the end it depends on where you wish to work after you graduate. if you prefer north america, stern would be better, and for europe LSE. id be inclined to say that if you want to work in Asia then it maybe better to go to LSE just because you may have more Asian recruiters at LSE as opposed to Stern. Either way, as previous posters have mentioned, both are excellent schools and it is hard to pick between them. If you do well at either school you should have no trouble finding employment. good luck!

Hey, Thanks for your opinion. They helped me. Yea, I know the problem is where I want to work in the future/ But how do I decide that, I'm just 18 and I still am not too sure which field in Business I want to do. Thx anyways.

Stern is well known in the business world, but obscure outside it, LSE is generally well known... compromise - maybe do your MBA with Trium, it's run jointly with LSE/Stern/HEC

To be honest, if you're good enough, you'll be able to get a desirable job regardless of which one you end up choosing. If I were you, i'd simply choose which one you want to go to and not worry about reputation. Do you want 3 or 4 years? UK or USA? London or NY? A set degree or flexibility? To be close to home or to have to flight over? To have your life long friends you meet at uni to be mainly English or American? etc etc

Good luck choosing!

That joint MBA is an executive MBA and you would have to have some pretty impressive corporate experience to even qualify...so you really couldn't do it right after you get your degree because you would need some work/management experience.

Stern Business School is only a part of NYU, which is a pretty famous university....maybe it isn't as famous as LSE, but a lot of people in America know about NYU

Either uni that you pick is a good choice, if you work hard enough and get the grades, you could potentially go to both schools. Best of luck

New York has much better Chinese food than London...and it's a lot cheaper
