# FP1 Parabola watch

1. I managed to do the first part of the question, but I'm abit stuck on the second part of the question (the one I put a box around). Nevertheless, I have given it an attempt and I've have attached my attempt (although it didn't go very well) in the post!

Wow, I really did overthink that

If you don't mind me asking but how did you know how to approach that question/eliminate s (I'm not arguing, I'm just trying to see how I can get the right thought process)?

It's a standard method when dealing with loci - eliminate the parameter. Learnt it decades ago - can't recall how.
