After studying abroad for a year and not writing any essays, choosing a dissertation topic was next to impossible and African post-colonial literature was eventually chosen. I will be writing three texts:
1. Chinua Achebe, Things Fall Apart,
2. J. M Coetzee, Disgrace
3. Joseph Conrad, Heart of Darkness.
What are key things that I could write about that will be linked to all three texts?? And what title could I use?
Any help would literally be lifesaving, thank you in advance

One option would be to focus on the theme of 'decline' in all three texts. This would involve exploring both the political and cultural decline and the personal decline of the three protagonists.
A possible title could be 'Things Fall Apart: Personal and Political Decline in Post-colonial African Literature'
This sounds like a really interesting project. Good luck!
