Sainsburys Interview tomorrow(10th) - what to wear?!

Ok i got a interview tomorrow at 2pm, this is my first interview.. hopefully my first job as well.

(i am 19 male btw)

guy called me up offered me the interview while i was a bit busy (a week or so after i submited my application form) and i didnt ask any questions at all!

i only know where to go and at what time

i dont know if its going to be a group interview, one to one interview?

i dont know what to wear either, i do have a suit that i used at a wedding. i dont know much about what would be acceptable and what is expected. it is navey from what i remember

can any one suggest what to wear please?
i dont want to stand out, if its a group interview and the other people are in jeans and i am chilling in a suit (even though the thing makes me tense and nervours) i dont want to fell like i stand out and be left out etc

suggestions/advice very welcome!

Thanks

I work at Sainsburys... I went to the interview in smart jeans (it wasnt a group). I'd go smart casual, no need for a tie or anything....

I have seen a few posts about the net that said they had group interviews then one on one :frown: i guess it could go either way? or maybe something has changed since whoever did theirs..

when was it you had your interview sebbie? how did it go? how long was it? wha t should i expect

bear in mind that standing out in a group interview is one of the most important things you can do - make them remember you however you can. i went in trousers and a shirt, no jacket or tie.

you'll have a group interview, and it isn't really an interview. you get given a list of scenarios eg "John lives on his own and is bored with beans on toast every night, what do you reccomend he tries?" and you choose from a list. the one to one bit is them just asking you why chose it, testing your communication skills. easy, even i got the job!

good luck! er, even though you've probably already had it. ah well.

wooo yup thats exactly the stuff word for word that we had lol

it took for ever mind you.

turned up at 1:45

meant to be there at 2pm

waited outside some room for 15mins at least
waited in side for another 10

got told to do those we sheets matching meals to people for 20mins
30mins passed and someone came and took one of us away for a one to one thing which basicly was just discussing what we did on our own.

so the rest of us sat there untill they came back and then someone else came to get another one of us which took forever somtimes.

when we all had our one to one things which only lasted about 5mins which just went over what we did and what hours you could work etc we had to discuss it in a group and see if you could pick better meals for the people etc

that was about it. we got let out at around 3:40pm :frown: which was harsh seeing as we did about 30mins worth of stuff and sat in silence the rest.

dress wise i wore black trousers and a shirt and tie and didnt feel underdressed and not really over dressed.
a 18 year old turned up in school uniform (alot of people when i left were waiting in shcool uniform also)
16 year old was just in normal stuff really jeans tshirt and jacket
60(ish) year old just worse typical old people stuff
and the 30year old woman just wore bussiness ish looking stuff lol

the two people who were "interviewing" us just wore their normal work stuff, orange flease thing and blue tshirt.

i took a picture of the we meal sheet that we worked off (but couldnt get a pic of the actual meals sorry) i will try and post it up later as it will probly be useful for someone else.

find out during the week i think so fingers crossed 30 hour week here i come (£5.40 an hour)

EDIT
=======
Heres the pic, sorrry its not any clearer i looked a bit weird taking it lol so didnt want to stand out even more

Ignore my red lines i felt like highlighting the important things
remember you get a sheet of meals to choose from (others seemed to have more meals than me i think  but hmm didnt ask about it)
