Is it dangerous to meet up with...

Hey guys...I would like to hear your opinions on whether or not it's dangerous to meet up with peepz from the net..?

I've been so bored lately and after a long week of hard work, it'd be nice to just go out and have a good time...but since I don't have many friends, I guess the only way to meet new ppls is through the internet...

I'm from Syd btwz...although I'm twenty3, I haven't been to clubbing much or out anywhere in my life so now I'm going through the party phase...I'm not a full on party gurl though, just...wanna have fun and free my mind from everything stressful.

I'm think it'll better going out with people in work or going along to classes of your interest to meet people. You get to see people face and face and know what their personality is really like. I don't like the idea of meeting people off the internet.

Why not? Statistically you're more likely to meet an axe murderer on the street.

I don't know of many axe murderers these days, it seems the trends have skewed towards other tools of the trade. But i'd like to see your statistics...

As for the OP, perhaps don't give up so quickyl on meeting people in the "real world" - just try new things and put yourself in new social siituations which will help your chances of meeting people.

Some use lightning bolts these days you know!

Its easy to follow my statistics. You walk past 1k people on the street daily, and meet 5 people from the net monthly....

axe murderer ratio is x:1 ... so its all sorted

Unless of course you're some 13yo girl who frequents sex chatrooms and has no decent parents or common sense.

Well it can be dangerous because you don't know who the person behind the screen is, always better to get to know them properly before meeting up, and maybe taking a friend with you as well.

How many people do you know that you meet in clubs, or in halls?

True again thats why you should get to know them first.

I think an initial meeting in a public place in the daytime is required.

I've met people off TSR before and it's been fine. I'd just make sure it's a group rather than one on one meet, at least the first time you meet these people.

Morning Carl :five:

But you're already out with them. Or have to live with them.

Perhaps they use the internet. Does that make them a more dangerous person as you know somebody who uses the internet?

So it's no more dangerous to meet somebody off the internet than in person?
