headache affecting sight

Recently I've been gettign really bad headaches. I've got one now while I'm typing this.

I had done about a week ago and now it's back. I thought I was just coming down with a cold but now I'm not so sure.

I can't physically see right. It's like everything is moving around me and as I'm looking at the monitor the screen keeps jolting and shaking. Hy head's spinning really bad. I've had migraines before but migraines are just a dull, painful throb - it doesn't affect my sight! I'm really worried. It just came all of a sudden and I don't know why.

My mom says it's because i spend too much time on the computer and don't get enough sleep. I get about 8 hours usually - is this not enough? I can't speak to my parents about it anyway, they just shrug it off or get angry at me for making a fuss about nothing. They're useless.

Can anyone suggest any help - or what it may be? Thanks

You can get migraines that affect your sight and just because you haven't had them before doesn't mean you won't get them at all. I suggest you get off the 'puter cos that won't help and take some ibuprofen (or similar). If this happens more regularly think about cutting down your computer use, take regular breaks and perhaps see your doctor.

Dull pain for a migraine? A migraine is characterised by severe and intense pain.

Thanks for the replies, I've had a rest and feel a bit better now. I've booked an appointment at the docs for tomorrow.
