Sorry, didn't mean to go off on one, but "textspeak" is (a) pretty much illiterate and (b) well nigh impossible to read. It's a bit scary that so many people think it is an acceptable form of communication, especially when you're considering taking a degree.
Don't apologise, you're so right! I can't stand text speak, I find it so annoying. Sure, it's good on a mobile phone when you're in a rush, but on a keyboard? What's the point?
