I have to decide on my A levels. I am definitely doing History, Politics and Economics but I'm stuck on my fourth choice which I will probably drop after As. I am thinking French or Music. French I enjoy, learning a new language seems exciting and I am predicted an A* for GCSE. However, I don't find French easy and A level is supposedly a lot harder. For music I don't enjoy the lesson that much but I am grade 8 violin so performance isn't a problem. Any comments on a level composition....So overall is French As level hard and is Music As level hard. How big is the jump from GCSE's. Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

Syallbuses are changing to become linear. Are you sure your school is still offering AS over one year ...?
