could you please summaries the points for how russia supply the eu via the gas pipeline as my teacher as made us make our own case study and would find it useful to add to my notes

I dont have much on it but
Russia supplys the eu
Tnc(trans national corporation) Gazprom

Gazprom is the 3rd largest company in the world it controls around a third of the worlds gas reserves provides 25% of eu natural gas

In 2007 it provided 4% of uks british gas supply and it is expected to increase by 10% within five years

The pipeline goes through ukraine and over dispute with the ukraines russia turned the gas off hich affected many of the eu countries

Therefore russia use there gas as a political tool

what kind of points are you including in your facts? like the main aim of the overall project, cost of building, positive/ negative sort of thing? dont know if ive got the right idea of what to revise here?

Three Gorges Dam
Benefits:
Provides 10% of china's electricity via HEP- env
Reduces the risk of flooding-env/ec/soc
Alleviates the need to use 40 million tonnes of coal a year-env
This results in a reduction of 120 million tonnes of carbon dioxide being produced.-env
Jobs provided during construction and management of the dam-soc/ec
Negatives:
Costs £25 billion to build-ec
Homes of more than 1 million people were flooded during the construction of the dam as well as fertile land being washed away-soc/env
Habitat of the white flag dolphin disrupted
! million people+ displaced

River Quaggy
Benefits:
Reduced risk of flooding for 600 houses-soc
Low cost-ec
Low maintenance cost-ec
Aesthetically attractive-soc
Creation of new habitats-env

Negatives:
Same sort of scheme probably couldnt be replicated elsewhere

Presumably one as a MEDC (New Orleans) and the other an LEDC

Any predictions on the possible coasts 15 marker?

Is that necessary though because in the spec it says "Case study of coastal flooding specific physical andhuman cause(s) and its physical and socio-economic consequences."

Doesn't really say ledc and medc
