Hi Guys,

I am studying my Sociology A Level online, and I am having extreme trouble with the structure of the essay structure on questions such as:

Examine sociological explanations of the process of socialisation. (24 Marks)

and
Assess the view that people's leisure patterns and identities are no longer shaped by their social position (24 Marks).

Like so far I have this structure using the first question as an example:

Paragraph 1: Introduce the essay and identify the different types of socialisation points e.g primary, secondary, education etc.

Paragraph 2: Explain in detail the different types of socialisation processes and identify different views such as Marxism and Functionalism.

Paragraph 3: Explain the Marxism view and then criticize that view using the functionalist view.

Paragraph 4: Conclude what you can found out??? Maybe add some RL Evidence to maybe back up a certain view such as functionalism??

Paragraph 5: Other views include post modernism/feminism views???

Please help!

You need to criticize each of the views differently and independently and not use one to criticize another. If you use one view to criticize another, you will be doing more comparing than examining
