Nike air trainers split soles

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice regarding Nike air max trainers.

I bought a pair a couple of months ago from JJB sports. I have recently noticed a noise when I'm walking, sounding like air escaping. I have just discovered there is a large split on the sole of one shoe, with the other one also having a small split on the sole.

Do you reckon I have much comeback if I take these back into the store, and ask for a refund?

Cheers

Steven

Go for it, I've had the studs break on a pair of football boots and I got one. Tell them that you expect the shoes to last much longer. How's the general condition of them? Clean them up as best you can before returning (if it looks like you've looked after the shoes then they're more likely to go along with it).

I used to work in a sports deparment of a store & we had to give refunds for faulty trainers. We even got some guy returning a pair of smelly muddy trainers as the leather had ripped!

So yeah, I'm sure JJB will give you a refund (as the poster above says) it is illegal for them not to if the good is faulty.

Thanks everyone.... Dramatic Star, was there a specific time limit for the refund to be given? I've had them since late July, and they are in excellent condition apart from the soles!

Take them back, theyre obviously faulty.

Theres no time limit to take back faulty items, as you only bought them in July you should be fine.

Have you got the receipt? You might need it to prove how much you paid for them, some stores ask for it.

There actually is a time timit on how long you can have good before you try to return as faulty. After you've had them for six months the shop can argue that you damaged the shoes and that they are not actually faulty.

But since you've only had the a few months you should bring them back.

A lot of places give you a year to take them back if they're faulty. Have you got a receipt too? Otherwise you've got no hope! Unless the box, has the store etc on it.
