I've been to the cinema on my own a few times. It was not at all weird, I enjoyed the film and then I came home. I'm pretty sure no one else even noticed.
Never been alone cos I don't have the balls to do something like that... I would feel like I'm being judged...

No problem with it though :smile:
I don't see why it should be looked down on, after all it's not a particularly social occasion. If you do go with someone else then you'll barely speak to them during the film, so it doesn't make a difference if you're on your own. Also, it's unlikely that anyone else would notice or care about how many people you were with in a dark cinema.
