Stood up

I've just been stood up....which is quite depressing. So just wanted a little rant. Was sposed to be meeting this guy in the pub and he didnt show, didnt answer his phone. Didn't really like the guy too much so its ok, but still reaally annoyed! lol. He goes to the same orchestra as me so I don't know if he's going to tell other people or what. I have no idea what I'm gonna say to him, or anyone else if they ask. Anyone here had a similar experience? Anyone here stood someone up and why? I just feel like such an idiot.

There might have been a misunderstanding...I got stood up once by my ex but when I got home it turned out he'd been phoning my home phone telling me he couldn't make it.

I'm pretty sure there was no misunderstanding.....have been hanging around with this guy for a while, he's very hot and cold, then yesterday he started sending me loads of nice messages about wanting to spend time together, which i thoguht was weird, and he's cancelled on me once before with dodgy excuses.....so I had my suspicions about him anyway...one of the reasons I was gonna cancel before ...but I decided to go,thinking it mite be ok, and i've got nothing beter to do.....n the bastard didn't turn up.

first thing you need to do is CALM DOWN. Just lay back. Listen to Avril Lavigne's song "Complicated".

You have just been played by this guy. Thats the answer.

And since you dont like him that much, why do you care anyway?

Sheesh.

Probably was tryin' to score, then found there was someone else who was willing to give it to him without the need to buy her a drink.

It's a horrible thing to do. I've had it done to me. I would NEVER do it to anyone ever. Unless he's got a ****ING good excuse, never speak to him again.

Under no circumstances is suggesting listening to Avril Lavigne EVER good advice.

Well of course i've been played. And yeah I didn't like him that much, but its not the point, I think you'd still be pretty annoyed if it happened to you. And I have to say I think listening to Avril will piss me off even more, I hate that.

ask any guy. he'll say yes.

Never happened to me, as I always pick up the girl at home and then go somewhere (that's a good way to avoid being stood up)

But yea, it does happen alot to men:wink:

Poor you, what a tw@ he must be.

But at least now, if he tries to ask you out again, you won't have to feel any awkwardness about saying a blunt "NO". It's probably for the best.. in an odd kind of way.

Most people seem to confuse nice guys with walkovers.
