Most people seem to confuse nice guys with walkovers.

that's true unfortunately. there's nothing worse than a guy who appears to be spineless.

Look what I read on a women's website

"Men are like floor tiles. Lay them right the first time and you can walk all over them the rest of your life"

Not all nice guys finish last!!! Some women have the ability to see a kind caring man and want to be with them, and are happy with that situation- and yes I do mean me!
To the OP, I've been stood up and it stinks, and yet I once stood a guy up because he wouldn't leave unless I promised to go out with him- in my defence he was pushy and it was on holiday so I never had to see him again, but I felt bad about it for a while... ok about 10 minutes, but seriously he was awful!

*SOME* women. you said it yourself. well in the world, there is a GREAT GREAT shortage of such women, thus.........<insert rest of the post here>

it happened to me once. The guy never called back or anything.
And I met him in a pub 6 months later... went to ask him why he'd stood me up... pretended he didn't remember.
The next day, I had an apologetic email ... he'd remembered during the night, how convenient...

i've always thought that a lot of women date 'bad boys' for a while, but more often than not see the light and go for the good guy. so they usually win in the end.

It happens to guys ALOT more. Anyways, this guy obviously doesnt like you much.

thus most nice guys spend all their teenage years single, lonely, desperate and virginly

Yes they do, but when they hit their twenties, and find women with more discerning tastes, they don't stay that way, nice guys are hot!!!

I had my first date just a few months ago. Unfortunately he didn't turn up. It happened to be raining and I was soaked. I phoned him up the next day and he only said "I'm not really bothered. You're the one who got soaked - not me"...oh well...I should say, I've gotten over him.

what a scumbag!

well, funny thing is i'm not your typical nice guy. so i do get it. but still, i'm dying for someone right now :frown:

Personally I wouldn't speak to him unless I got an explanation. No excuse these days when people have mobiles on contract or pay as you go which can be topped up at cash points, there's even pay phones still! His loss, meet someone who isn't going to mess about hot and cold and you know where you stand.
