Worried about get anxious

Hi, im gonna try my best not to be whiny lol but basically Ive had anxiety for years and not had a job though Ive been to college missing lectures here and there because I was too scared to go in. Its even worse when im on a period expecially when it starts hurting because for some weird reason I go all hot, sweaty and panicky and usually faint which is as scary as hell. Anyway my parents have been going mad for ages saying im lazy, that others my age have jobs and that they are embarrased to talk about me to there friends at work. I have just been offered a part time job in a small picture frame store and im really excited and can't believe my luck because Im no good at interviews, at the same time though im really scared because my period will be starting around the time she told me to start in late November. My parents don't know about it yet I don't know whether to tell them because there will be so much pressure to hold it down, which Im desperate to do but im also worried about it. I was thinking of not telling them. Anyway I just wanted to type this because if I told my parents and relatives what I am saying now they will go absolutely mad because it sounds so lazy.
Also I was thinking of going on the pill but does it have any side effects when you first start taking it?

Thanks

If you get period pain try taking ibuprofen or paracetamol and that should help, if it doesn't then see your doctor.

Thanks, I have been taking mefanemic acid that I was precribed for ages and it does help though I still get scared. I guess the root of the problem is the anxiety but if I can avoid the period in someway when I start it would help. Does the pill tend to reduce anxiety does anyone know?

I wouldn't have thought so. Have you seen your doctor about your anxiety? What were you scared about when you were going to college...if you work out exactly why you're anxious then you might become less anxious about the job.

Yea he game me some anti anxiety/depressents but they didn't help so I stopped taking them after 4 months, maybe I didn't give them long enough. I just get this uncomfy feeling in my chest and it scares me expecially if I think im going to faint:confused:

Sorry to hear you're feeling this way. Hopefully having this job will improve your confidence which then will naturally reduce the anxiety.

I believe it's as easy to get on a upward spiral as a downward one.

Good luck

I would go to your doctor, make sure you have alternative pain relief.

And i would tell your employer that you have anxiety, so they are aware.
