I'm studying Ecosystems for AQA A2 Geography and we're studying a tropical monsoon forest as the tropical biome. We've been set the exam question from June 2011: ‘Maintaining biodiversity at its present level is impossible if people are going to achievea reasonable standard of living in the near future.’ Discuss this statement with reference to a tropical biome that you have studied. (40marks)

Can anyone help me to answer this question, or define standard of living and biodiversity or at least help me start it off or let me know what I need to include for a decent answer?
