I got a part time job at Barclays as a community banker (I know its not much but I'm happy about it ). I would like to have my career at this company but not in retail banking. I would prefer to do their Marketing/Operations/HR Graduate Scheme.

1. Would I need to secure an Internship in the specific area I'm interested in? Or would knowledge of the bank at retail level be sufficient (I would be working there for about a year and 4 months before graduation)?.

2. If I do need to secure an Internship, do I give up this job, go for the Internship then apply to the graduate programme?

3. If I do not need an Internship, would I need to get shadowing experience in the roles that I will be applying for?

I couldn't find any of the information I needed during my Google search or the company website and would appreciate any responses. Thank you

Should there be a new university admissions system that ditches predicted grades?

No, I think predicted grades should still be used to make offers (675)
Yes, I like the idea of applying to uni after I received my grades (PQA) (856)
Yes, I like the idea of receiving offers only after I receive my grades (PQO) (386)
I think there is a better option than the ones suggested (let us know in the thread!) (91)
